- If the seller is not willing to meet face to face to make a sale.
- A seller requests using a wire service such as Western Union.
Do’s and Don’ts
- Don’t give out any personal information or financial details.
- NEVER send funds via wire services such as Western Union or any other service.
- Deal locally and be very cautious of contacts from other countries.
- Trust your instincts.
- Avoid deals that involve the shipping of a product or escrow services.
- Don’t respond to any emails that are asking you for your Tradepoint.ca password.
- It is strongly recommended that you don't wire money to potential sellers
- Save records of your email correspondences, including payment information and shipping details
- Print a copy of the ad
